Why Re-invent the Wheel
I've found that the best system to clarify the possibilities for any genre is GURPS , see www.sjgames.com [the books are available as pdf from e23.sjgames.com/] and don't forget to check-out the forums!
In this small website, I'll try to display the things I've found useful and any work I've done that may be of use to others.
I highly recommend the GURPS Forums for advice [and solutions to problems you would never imagine having].
